A minor earthquake rattled southwest Virginia early Tuesday.
The National Geological Survey said it was a 2.5-magnitude temblor.
It hit at 12:12 a.m.
Officials say it was centered 8 miles northwest of Richlands and 7 miles north-northwest of Raven, about 50 miles from the West Virginia and North Carolina state lines.
There are no reports of damage.
