Pack of Cigarettes Led to Fatal Stabbing: Prosecutors

A homeless man has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of a man in a dispute over missing cigarettes.

The Daily Press reports 60-year-old Ezra Yarborough pleaded guilty Thursday in Hampton Circuit Court.

Court records showed Yarborough had accused Randall Aubrey Anderson of taking his cigarettes, then stabbed him in the neck at Anderson's home in Hampton last November.

Yarborough faces up to 45 years in prison. Sentencing will take place in December.
