One Dead, Three Shot in Violent Night for Southeast DC

One fatally stabbed; three others shot in Southeast DC

A man was fatally stabbed and three others were shot, in three separate incidents across Southeast D.C. Monday night.

In the first , a man was stabbed in a parking lot along 13th Place SE, around 7 p.m. He was taken to the hospital where he later died. Police identified him as 26-year-old Brian Dewayne Bloomfield.

About an hour and a half later, a man was shot at the Barry Farm Recreation Center during a basketball game. His condition has not been released.

Then, around midnight, two men were stabbed along Gainesville Street. Both men were taken to the hospital, and one is in critical condition. Officers brought K9 units to the scene to help look for clues.

So far, there have been no arrests in any of these cases. Police said there is no indication the incidents are related.
