Violent Fast Food Robbery Caught on Tape

Surveillance cameras recorded two gunmen emptying the safe at a Wendy's restaurant in Woodbridge, Va.

On Dec. 15 at 8:40 p.m., two men dressed in dark fleece hoodies and ski masks ordered customers at the restaurant at 1470 Old Bridge Road not to look as one of them struck the manager on the head -- knocking him to the ground and causing a 3-inch laceration -- and ordered him to open the store safe.

The man took more than $600 in cash and escaped with his accomplice.

Employees went to their manager's aid and called 911 to report the robbery. Police arrived to interview witnesses and paramedics treated the manager.

Police haven't solved the crime, and surveillance video is the best evidence they have.

"This video shows how the suspects we're dressed, how they used violence right in front of customers in the restaurant at the time," said Erika Hernandez, of Prince William County police.

"Anyone who would attack someone from behind is a coward," said Nolene King, who lives in the area.
