Video Shows Alexandria Clerk Robbed at Gunpoint

Alexandria police have released surveillance video of an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven store. They’re asking for the public’s help identifying two people.

The robbery happened about 3:15 a.m. Tuesday at the store on Kenmore Avenue near Seminary Road in Alexandria.

The video below shows one man jumping over the counter toward the cash register, while the other runs around the counter and pulls a gun on the clerk. Both wearing dark clothes with red hats or hoods, they forced the clerk to empty the register and threw him to the ground.

The clerk was not injured, police said. They think the same two men could be responsible for a robbery at an Exxon station on Van Dorn Street.

Anyone with information on those two incidents can call the Alexandria Police Criminal Investigations Section at 703-746-6606. Callers can remain anonymous.
