The pedestrian hit and killed by a car Wednesday night in Clinton, Maryland, has been identified, officials say.
Abulhasan Ansari, 71, died after a minivan crashed into him about 8:45 p.m. on the 9100 block of Piscataway Road, Prince George's County Police said. The driver was headed westbound when the crash occurred. Ansari, of Potomac, Maryland, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the minivan remained at the crash scene and is cooperating with investigators, police said. He was not hurt.
At the time of the crash, Ansari is believed to have not been in the crosswalk.
