Stolen Vehicle Used in Attempted ATM Theft: Police

Suspected vehicle stolen from repair shop

Frederick city police are looking for the person who stole a vehicle from a repair shop and then rammed it into an automated teller machine in an apparent attempt to steal the cash inside, police said.

Someone stole the vehicle from the Rosemont Service Center on Rosemont Avenue in the cityโ€™s north end about 3:20 a.m. Tuesday and drove it into an ATM kiosk at a BB&T Bank branch a block away, police said.

Officers found a vehicle believed to have been used to ram the ATM a short distance away on Baughman's Lane, police said.
