A vehicle with two children inside was carjacked Tuesday morning in Capitol Heights, Md.
Police said the incident happened just before 8 a.m. in the 7100 block of Hastings Drive. Investigators said the driver was forced out of the car at gunpoint.
The children were found safe, but police are still looking for the vehicle -- a beige Mercedes with Maryland license plate number 4BWK24.
UPDATE: Police later said the incident was a "misunderstanding" and that the children were never in any danger. No further information was available.
