An Albemarle County man convicted of felony murder in the death of a 1-year-old girl has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Prosecutors say Camora Wicks died in May 2011 after 20-year-old Ramon M. Turley kicked her. Turley pleaded guilty in January 2012.

Albemarle County Circuit Court Judge Cheryl Higgins sentenced Turley on Wednesday to 40 years in prison with 10 years suspended. Turley also cannot have any unsupervised contact with children after he completes his sentence.
