Va. Teacher Arrested on Child Porn Charges

A fourth-grade teacher in Alexandria has been charged in federal court with receipt of child pornography.

Authorities arrested 35-year-old Justin Coleman of Falls Church on Wednesday and he made an initial appearance Thursday in U.S. District Court in Alexandria.

Coleman is a language teacher at John Adams Elementary.

According to court documents, agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement were investigating a child pornography website and found IP addresses that traced back to Coleman.

Court documents indicate that police also found girls' underwear in Coleman's home.

A school system spokeswoman said that Coleman has been placed on leave with pay while the case is investigated. Parents at the school are being notified.

Parents concerned that their children may have been victimized by Coleman are asked to contact ICE at 1-866-DHS-2ICE.
