A Utz chips delivery truck and a Hostess cakes delivery truck were involved in two separate accident on Rt. 301 near Brandywine Road in Brandywine, Md.
An initial crash caused a traffic slowdown and a second, minor crash, according to the Maryland State Police Department.
Three vehicles were involved in the first accident. Police said that two people are trapped in some number of those vehicles. A third person is also injured. Emergency personnel have requested medevac support.
One person is in grave condition.
Authorities have shut down Rt. 301 in both directions while emergency response personnel assist injured people on the scene.
