Residents Protest Utility Bills in Alexandria, Va.

Hundreds of people in Alexandria, Va., hit the street to protest higher utility bills.

Residents of four apartment complexes near the Mark Center say utility bills have skyrocketed 325 percent since December. They marched to each of the four management offices Wednesday night.

They want to meet with the company that owns the buildings, JGB Companies, to determine a fair and reasonable method for charging utilities.

Residents would like JGB Companies to install meters so they can pay for exactly what's used.

JGB Companies did not return our call for comment.
