87 Octane Gas Dries Up at Maryland Station

An Exxon station in Gaithersburg ran out of regular

An Exxon station was back in regular business Friday evening after running out of regular unleaded 87 octane gas.

Ahead of the winter storm, the gas station on 355 in Gaithersburg, Md., sold 5,000 gallons of 87 beginning Thursday until it ran out Friday.

One customer told News4 he tried to get 87 at another gas station, but that station was out, too.

"I don't know," he said. "I'll go to a third gas station, I guess."

After 3 p.m., the station received a big delivery of 87 and returned to business as usual.
