Missing UMD Student Spotted on Surveillance Camera in Baltimore

Police at the University of Maryland say a missing 21-year-old student was seen on surveillance footage getting into a waiting SUV in Baltimore, Maryland.

Kaitlyn George was last seen at Allegany Hall at 4 p.m. Thursday. Police say George was scheduled to meet a friend at the Eppley Recreation Center at 5 p.m. that day to go on a hiking trip.

When she did not show up, the friend alerted police.

On Friday, police released photo from a security camera of George leaving Allegany Hall about 4:42 p.m. with a black and white camping backpack and a pink bag.

George was then seen getting into a taxi in front of Annapolis Hall by herself and on her own accord. Police say the cab driver dropped her off in front of a marina in the Federal Hill neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland.

Surveillance footage from the marina showed George getting into a waiting SUV. A witness later reported seeing George on a Charm City Circulator bus Nov. 11 at 8:40 a.m.

Investigators do not suspect foul play, but they do want to hear from George.

She is 5 feet 3 inches tall. weighs 121 pounds, has brown eyes and blonde hair.

George was last seen wearing black leggings, a green jacket and bright colored socks.
