USDA Recalls Chicken Tenderloin Fritters Shipped to Md., DC

The United States Department of Agriculture has issued a recall of Perdue chicken products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens.

The USDA said the product, ready-to-cook chicken breast tenderloin fritters, contained eggs, which is a known allergen and not declared on the product label. The items were shipped to food service locations in Maryland and Washington, D.C., as well as Florida.

The 10 pound boxes, containing two 5 pound bags of the fritters, have P-11507 inside the USDA mark of inspection and a case code of 7374. They were produced on Dec. 6, 2017.

The USDA said there have been no reports of adverse reactions, but anyone concerned about an illness should contact a healthcare provider.

They said consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
