Two Tree Workers Struck by Truck

A box truck struck two men as they were directing traffic in Montgomery County

Two people have been seriously injured after being stuck by a box truck in Montgomery County Thursday morning, police said.

The two victims are tree workers who were directing traffic on the 20600 block of New Hampshire Avenue at 9:17 a.m., when a vehicle struck them, officials said.

Authorities said the two men flew several feet in the air, along with the slow sign one of the workers was holding.

The driver stayed at the scene, while the two victims suffering from serious injuries were transported to a nearby hospital, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
