Two Stabbed after Fight in Popular Club XII

Metropolitan police said two people were stabbed after a fight started inside a popular nightclub in NE D.C. early Saturday morning.

Police said two men were discovered with stab wounds near Club XII on H and 12 Streets, NE. One victim is in grave condition while the other is in stable condition.

One person was arrested in connection with the incident. DeChristian Angel Simmons, 21, is in custody.

Due to the seriousness of the offense, the Chief of Police has exercised her authority and closed the club operations for 96 hours. ABRA will be holding a hearing on the establishments license on Tuesday morning.

The club was also the scene of a stabbing in March after a fight at the location. At the time, Councilmember Tommy Wells said the club should be closed until security is increased at the location.
