Two Middle School Students Attacked: Deputies

16-year-old allegedly attempted to sexually assault two students as they walked to school

A 16-year-old boy attempted to sexually assault two middle school girls as they were walking to school Monday morning in Loudoun County, deputies said.

The two victims were walking in the area of Seneca Ridge Drive and Augusta Drive about 7:30 a.m. when an unknown male approached them.

The victims said he grabbed them and attempted to sexually assault them, authorities said.

According to officials, the two girls were able to free themselves from the man. A nearby male teenager witnessed the incident and chased the attacker from the area.

The witness escorted the 12-year-old and 14-year-old girls to Seneca Ridge Middle School, where they reported the incident to authorities.

Investigators identified the attacker, although his name cannot be released because he is underage.

Deputies charged him with two counts of abductions with intent to defile and two counts of aggravated sexual battery. He is being held at the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center.
