Two Killed in Separate Shootings

    Two men were killed in two separate shootings in Prince George's County, Md., Tuesday night.

    Officers found 31-year-old Marvin Tomlinson shot to death on the grounds of an apartment complex in the 2100 block of County Road in District Heights about 8 p.m. His body was found near the playground.

    Three hours later, police found 51-year-old Andre Morton, of northwest Washington, suffering from gunshot wounds in the 700 block of Maury Avenue in Oxon Hill.

    Officers checked out the area after reports of shots fired. When they arrived they found a man in the street suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

    Police do not believe the shootings are connected.

    Police have not released any suspect information in the cases.
