Two D.C. Flights Listed Among Chronically Late

Few things frustrate air travelers more than a plane that doesn't take off when it's scheduled to.

Well, it turns out two of the most chronically delayed flights in the country are in the Washington, D.C., area.

Researchers for the Wall Street Journal compiled a list of the 100 worst flights in the U.S. when it comes to delays.

American Airlines Flight 1719 from Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport to Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport was 12th on the list. It was late 43% of the time.

JetBlue Flight 1257 from Boston Logan International Airport to Washington Dulles International airport was 17th. It was late 42% of the time.

Flights in and out of Newark had the worst on-time records. Some airlines blamed D.C. for that.

They said many Newark flights have to pass through Washington airspace, which is heavily congested.
