Two Arrested, One Wanted in Deadly Home Invasion

Police say two men were arrested and one other is wanted in connection with a Prince George's County murder last week.

Michael Brown, 23, was found dead inside of  his home in the 600 block of Cabin Branch Drive May 14. Investigators said three suspects entered Brown's  home earlier that evening and demanded money at gunpoint.

Police said the three suspects and Brown got into a confrontation at which point Brown was fatally shot.

Raphael Chad Mwilima, 16, of Silver Spring was arrested at his home May 20 on first degree murder, armed robbery and other charges. He is being charged as an adult.

Daquan Marquis Douglas of Seat Pleasant turned himself in Thursday and was also charged with first degree murder, armed robbery and other charges.

Both men are behind bars without bond.

A motive has not been released, but police are investigating whether Brown's side job, tattooing people out of his basement, was related to the incident. He had served one year in Afghanistan and was going to school to become a medical technician.

A third suspect is wanted in connection with the crime. If you have a tip, contact Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.
