Two Accuse Piano Teacher's Husband of Sex Abuse

Suspect arrested in LA

FAIRFAX, Va. -- Two teenagers accused the husband of a piano teacher of sexual abuse several years ago, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

In February, a 17-year-old girl told police she was abused from April 1998 to April 1999 during her weekly lessons at George Desmond Copping's former home in the 5700 block of Wood Creek Lane, police said.

Investigators found another possible victim. A 19-year-old alleges she was abused during lessons from December 2000 through January 2001, police said.

Copping, 71, lives is Australia but was arrested while traveling through Los Angeles on Sept. 17. He was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on Sept. 30 and charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery.

Police are looking for any other possible victims.
