Police said the truck is blocking the Chain Bridge on Canal Road in Northwest Washington. The leaking fuel started draining into a storm drain, which goes into the canal.

Crews used an absorbent on the road to soak up the fuel and contained the diesel in the water. Traffic was moving along the bridge by mid-afternoon.

No injuries were reported.
