Truck Crashes Into Front Door of D.C. School

Classes at a D.C. charter school will begin at their normal time despite a crash that left a truck in the front door of the school.

Police say a man in his 60s smashed into San Miguel School on Georgia Avenue NW about 6 p.m. Sunday night. The driver hit a utility box and a gas meter before crashing through the front door of the school.

No one was inside the school or on the sidewalk at the time of the crash, according to the school's website.

School officials say the front of the school has been repaired, and classes will begin at their normal time Monday.

The driver of the truck suffered injuries that are not life-threatening.
