Triple Shooting in Southeast Leaves 1 Dead

Police have no motives, suspects

A woman was killed and two others were injured after a shooting Friday night in southeast Washington.

The shooting happened at about 11 p.m. at an apartment in the 3000 block of Stanton Road.

"We are going to beg and plead to the public," said assistant police chief Diane Groomes.  "If anyone has any information please call us on our tip line or text us on our hotline at 50411.  We really need to solve this case because we have a woman who has lost her life right near the holiday season."

The two women who were shot and survived were transported to a nearby hospital.  Their conditions were not immediately available.

Police have not released the victim's identities or a description of possible suspects.

There was no word on the motive for the shooting.
