A graduate student at Towson University was found dead Friday in an off-campus apartment.
Baltimore County Police say Darcie Lena Moloshok, 28, was found dead shortly before 2:40 p.m. Friday after her mother called the university to express concern for her welfare.
Towson University officers were let into the apartment by maintenance staff and found Moloshok lying on her bed.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say a substance believed to be heroin was found in her apartment. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death.
A university spokesman declined to comment specifically, but said in a statement that the university community is saddened by the death of a graduate student.
