Toll Scofflaws Could End Up on ‘Wall of Shame'

Officials could also suspend vehicle registrations of repeat offenders

If you try to cheat Maryland's tolls by blowing through E-ZPass lanes, your name could soon end up in a Hall of Shame.

State transportation officials are working to find out if they can publicize the names of toll cheats and suspend vehicle registrations of repeat offenders.

Lawmakers are also working on legislation to crack down on drivers who don't pay.

Earlier this week, the Washington Post reported that nearly 650,000 cars owe nearly $7 million in unpaid tolls.
