Man Wanted for Kidnapping Metro Passenger in Custody

A man wanted for kidnapping and robbing a Metro passenger on Dec. 20 is now in custody.

Timothy Williams turned himself in to police Friday night.

Police say he kidnapped a man from the Naylor Road Metro station in Temple Hills at gunpoint and forced him to ride five stops to the Waterfront station in D.C. The kidnapper's gun was covered by a sweatshirt as they rode the train, Metro officials said.

The victim was then forced to withdraw money from several ATMs. He was not hurt.

The men returned to the Waterfront station, where Metro officials say they boarded separate trains.
