Three Bodies, Including Teen, Found in Rural Virginia Home

Neighbors said the family had recently moved in

Three people, including a 14-year-old, were discovered dead inside a home in rural Virginia on Wednesday morning, sheriff's deputies said.

Authorities were called about 9 a.m. to the 8300 block of Arlene Acres Drive, a quiet gravel road southeast of Fredericksburg, the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Department said.

"We had patrol deputies come out to check the incident. Upon arrival here, they discovered there were three decedents inside the home," said Lt. Charles Carey of the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Department.

The other two victims were 39 and 34 years old, deputies said.

Neighbors said they knew little about the family in the house, only that they had recently moved in.

"The scene itself is pretty involving," Carey said.

Deputies have not said whether they've found a weapon, but they say there isn't any threat to the surrounding community.
