Three Men Arrested in McDonald's Armed Robbery

Suspects investigated in five other crimes

Police say tips from the public played a key role in helping them arrest three men connected to a string of armed robberies that happened last weekend.

Brandon Cunninhgam, 20, of Largo; 24-year-old Tony Waters, of Laurel; and 24-year-old Todd Wheeler, from Laurel; are accused of holding up a McDonald's restaurant in Capitol Heights May 12.

Investigators also think the men may have been involved with similar armed robberies, some of which were caught on tape, at five other businesses across the county. One video shows a suspect pointing a gun right at a clerk inside a Shell Gas station in Bowie.

Authorities also recovered a Dodge Charger believed to have been the getaway vehicle. They're still working to connect the dots between all of last weekend's crimes.
