Three people were injured, one seriously, in a crash along GW Parkway Monday afternoon just before rush hour began.
According to officials, the crash was reported on GW Parkway southbound just north of Spout Run.
The seriously injured individual has been airlifted to a local hospital for treatment, and the southbound lanes remain closed at Chain Bridge as police investigate.
One of the three cars involved went over an ebankment into the woods.
