Welcome back! Thousands of students in Maryland and Virginia area heading back to school.
Tuesday marks the start of the school year for students in Maryland and throughout much of northern Virginia.
This is the first time students in Maryland have started school after the Labor Day holiday. Students in Prince George's County will start school Wednesday.
