Near Record Highs Expected for Rest of Week; Temps Near 90

Time to break out the flip-flops and shorts! Near record high temperatures will keep the region sizzling for the next three afternoons.

Storm Team4 says afternoon highs will challenge records Wednesday, Thursday  and Friday, with most areas closing in on the 90-degree mark.

Wednesday will be sunny with high temperatures in the mid 80s to 90.

Thursday will be partly cloudy with the temp reaching 90 degrees -- perfect for Weather Day at Nats Park.

But in addition to the heat, there will also be poor air quality along the Interstate 95 corridor from D.C. to Baltimore. Those with respiratory ailments should reduce activity levels.

Storm Team4 says weekend rain chances are increasing.

With temperatures on the rise and no chance of rain until the end of the week, you may find yourself sneezing a little more. Storm Team4 says the pollen count will be high, especially for trees.
