‘This Could Be Your Child': Father to Reunite With Daughter After Finding Her on Ancestry Site

The moment a Virginia man has waited 50 years for is almost here.

This weekend Ron Roudi, of Manassas, plans to meet his long-lost daughter and spoke to News4 about the chance he took that led him to her.

"I love my kids," Roudi said as he showed off photos of his children and grandchildren.

Next to the pictures of his sons are photos of Roudi's daughter Patrina, who he hasn't seen since she was a baby.

When Roudi was in college, his girlfriend got pregnant and they decided to give the baby up for adoption because they weren't able to care for her.

"We just sort of kept it secret amongst ourselves," Roudi said.

"I did not tell a single soul - a single soul - about her."

For years, there has been a void in Roudi's heart.

He decided last spring to try to find his daughter on Ancestry.com.

"All of a sudden I looked, looked again. The very first line, it said, 'This could be your child,'" Roudi said.

It was her.

"I said you’re my daughter," Roudi said.

Roudi broke down in tears while talking about his first-born child.

"She’s such a good daughter. She listens to me," he said.

This weekend, Roudi will meet Patrina for the first time.

"God helped me because I really love her," Roudi said.
