Teen With Gun Attacks Woman in Wheaton Metro Station Parking Garage

A 33-year-old woman said a teenager attempted to attack her as she walked to her car Monday night.

The woman had opened the door to her parked car on the second floor of the Wheaton Metro station parking garage around 9 p.m., when the teen approached her, holding a gun to his side. The woman told police he wanted her to come with him, then asked her to perform a sex act.

Police said the woman was able to get into her car, lock it and drive out of the garage without being injured. The teen ran away.

Just last month, a woman was carjacked at the New Carrollton Metro station and another was carjacked at the Vienna Metro station.

Women in the area said they usually keep an eye open for anyone suspicious at night.

"I don't listen to music, I'm very aware of my surroundings," one woman said.

"I walk fast, very fast," said another.
