Teen Shot Outside Oxon Hill High School, Seeks Aid Inside

Prince George’s County, Maryland, police said a teen was shot in chest and walked into his high school, seeking help, on Monday night.

Police said a student, 17, at Oxon Hill High School got into a car with other people and was shot twice in the chest after an argument inside the vehicle. They said he made it into the school, and someone called 911.

Police have not released the victim’s name. They said he was taken to the hospital in critical condition. They plan to review surveillance video to get a good description of the car and the people in the vehicle.

There were school activities going on at the time of the shooting, but the incident occurred on the other side of the campus. Police plan to have extra personnel at the school on Tuesday to ease student and parent concerns.
