Teen Beaten, Robbed on School Bus

A 13-year-old boy said he was robbed and beaten by several older teens while riding home from school on a school bus Tuesday.

The boy, "S.T.," spoke with News4's Pat Collins about the harrowing experience. S.T. said the several boys who attacked him are older than him and had been bullying him for some time now.

It all came to a head around 3 p.m. during a school bus ride home from High Road Upper School in Prince George's County.

"[He hit me] and was trying to get my wallet out of my pocket," S.T. told Collins.

The bus driver noticed the commotion and pulled over in the 1500 block of Kenilworth Avenue in Northeast D.C. to call police, but the three assailants fled the scene with S.T.'s wallet and cash.

"I don't think it was right of them to just take my stuff like that," S.T. said.

S.T. said he was a little swollen after the beating, but is expected to be OK. His mother said she is pressing charges against the attackers.
