A teenager is in custody in connection with the stabbing of another teen outside of a Silver Spring high school.
Police arrested a 17-year-old female from Silver Spring on Wednesday, in connection with a stabbing that took place in the parking lot of Northwood High School on Tuesday.
Police say the 17-year-old was charged as an adult with attempted homicide, assault, reckless endangerment and carrying a dangerous weapon on school property. The girl turned herself into authorities.
According to police, the teenager admitted to stabbing the 17-year-old victim several times outside Northwood High after the victim got into a fight with one of her friends.
That victim is expected to survive.
