Teen Accused of Pulling Rifle During Road Rage

Suspect released on bond

Authorities arrested a Montgomery County man Wednesday after he allegedly pointed a rifle at another man during a road rage incident.

Kenneth Johnson, 18, of Gaithersburg, Md., was driving on Sam Eig Highway Feb. 8 when Johnson and the victim became involved in a verbal dispute, Montgomery County police said.

Johnson then allegedly pulled out a rifle from the back seat of his car and pointed it at the other motorist, police said. When Johnson noticed the victim on his cell phone, he drove away, police said. The victim was able to get a description of Johnson's car and his license plate.

Montgomery County police executed a search warrant on Johnson's car Wednesday and recovered a rifle, along with other evidence, police said.

Police charged Johnson with first- and second-degree assault. He was released on bond.
