Frederick County, Md., is cutting teacher positions.
Teachers started finding out today that they will not have jobs for the next school year. According to the Frederick News Post, July 1 will be the last day on the job for teachers being cut.
The county did not say how many positions are being eleiminated, or when all of the notifications would go out.
Teachers being laid off will be put on a priority list. The county will use that list to fill vacant jobs over the next few years as positions become available.
