Shoppers in Maryland won't have to pay sales taxes on certain items for a limited time.
The state's tax-free week is set for the week of Aug. 11-17, when you won't be charged sales tax on qualifying items.
Most notably, you won't have to pay sales tax on clothing and footwear that costs $100 or less per item. In addition, the first $40 of a backpack or bookbag will also be tax-free.
