A barricade was set up by U.S. Capitol Police on Capitol Hill Tuesday morning to stop a suspicious truck, police said.
The truck failed to heed detour signs from several USCP officers as it traveled west along Independence Avenue SE, so the barricade was deployed to stop it at 2nd and Independence, according to officials.
The vehicle was towed from the scene since it was unable to be driven away.
