Suspect in 3 Bank Robberies Arrested in D.C.

A man suspected of committing bank robberies at two Maryland banks has been arrested after a bank robbery in Washington, Montgomery County Police said.

Leonard Forrest, 47, of Rockville, was arrested Friday in Washington after a PNC bank was robbed, police said. Montgomery County police searched his home and say officers found items linking him to the PNC bank robberies in the Montgomery County.

An arrest warrant has been obtained charging Forrest with robbing PNC branches in Rockville and Bethesda on Dec. 2 and Dec. 4.

He is currently being held by police in Washington.
