Suspect Sketch Released in Attempted Stafford Abduction

    Sketch of man who tried to abduct a juvenile in Spotsylvania.

    Authorities in Stafford County have released a composite sketch of a man who they say tried to abduct a teenager last week.

    A 17-year-old girl was walking in the Garrison Woods Apartment Complex in Stafford, Va. when she told police she was approached by a man in a beige car.

    The man told the teen, "get in the car," and when she refused, he told her that he would return to get her. She ran away and the man drove off.

    Authorities describe the vehicle as a long, 4-door sedan with stock silver wheels and squeaky brakes.

    There have been several other attempted abductions in nearby Spotsylvania County in the past few weeks. Investigators are looking into whether there are any links between the cases.
