Suspect Arrested in U.Md. ‘Pokemon Go' Robberies

University of Maryland Police arrested a suspect in three robberies of students playing "Pokemon Go" on the College Park campus one night two weeks ago, according to police.

Three separate robberies involving four victims were reported July 12 between 9 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. outside Tydings, Tawes and Queen Anne's halls.

The suspect, who was wearing black clothing, showed a black handgun in two of the incidents and took the victims' cellphones.

Police charged 22-year-old Javon Dominique Walker of Clinton, Maryland, with four counts each of armed robbery, robbery, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and theft less than $1,000.

The victims were not injured.
