A sun room collapsed in the rear of a house on Kenyon Street in Northwest Wednesday.
When D.C. Fire and EMS workers arrived, they determined the room fell from the second floor. It was precariously lodged in the back yard.
Cave-in experts were called and the area was cordoned off.
The house had been under renovation.
No word yet on what caused the addition to pull away from the house. Fortunately, no one was at home at the time and no rescue workers were injured.
