They called it the "result" of drunk driving or speeding

A scary scenario played out in front of students at

    Glenelg High School

    in Howard County today.

Students acted out a deadly crash -- the "result," they say, of drunk driving or speeding.

Howard County police and fire units also helped to make the demonstration seem real. The school did this to encourage students to make smart decisions over the next few weeks with prom, graduation and beach week.

The police department also encouraged students to attend the school-sponsored after-prom parties rather than attending parties with alcohol present.
