Weather Alert: Severe Thunderstorms Rolling Through Saturday Evening

Be sure to have an umbrella or rain coat with you, if you're out and about Saturday evening.

Storm Team4's Somara Theodore says more rain is on the way after rain caused damage throughout Virginia Friday night. The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-0 tornado touched down in Fauquier County, Virginia.

A severe thunderstorm warning was in effect until 9:15 p.m. for Prince George's, Anne Arundel and Calvert counties in Maryland. Another severe thunderstorm warning was in effect for D.C., Montgomery County, Maryland, the City of Falls Church, the City of Alexandria and Arlington and Fairfax counties in Virginia until 8:15 p.m.

First responders in D.C. reported flooded roads throughout the city and said lightning caused a small house fire in Northwest.

The Washington Nationals game was delayed due to the weather. The team tweeted the game would start at 10:05 p.m.

More severe thunderstorm warnings are likely to trickle through as the evening progresses, Theodore said.
