Students Sue George Washington University Over Online Program



    Allegations of fraud involving an online program at one of the nation's top universities right here in our area. Consumer Reporter Susan Hogan has details of a lawsuit just filed against George Washington University. (Published Thursday, April 7, 2016)

    George Washington University released the following statement regarding the online degree class-action lawsuit:

    In cases involving current and former students, federal privacy laws prevent us from responding to allegations other than in court. The university has not yet had an opportunity to respond in court.

    Overall, the program has been successful for many of our students. Since the Security and Safety Leadership program began in 2009, 341 students have graduated, and many have gone onto successful careers in the military, law enforcement and other government agencies.
