Souper, Super Bowl Party

Chili, hot dogs and dessert for all

Want to make a difference and watch the Big Game too?

Central Union Mission is holding its 10th Annual Souper Bowl for the homeless party along with the Souper Bowl of Caring, a national organization launched to mobilize local youth in the battle against hunger and poverty.

The party starts at 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Central Union Mission at 1350 R Street, NW.

The Souper Bowl Party comes complete with a meal of chili, hotdogs and dessert for everyone in attendance. Two wide-screen televisions will be available to watch the big game.

Leading up to the night of the game, donations and non-perishable food items will be collected both at the Mission and in churches around the area.

Volunteers can participate by serving dinner or by watching the game and talking with guests of the shelter.  For more information or to sign up, contact Sarah Spinler at 202-MISSION(745-7118), or sspinler@missiondc.org.
